Joshua Tree National Park

Joshua Tree NP
A quick pass through as we had some weather to clear-out for and were experiencing some technical difficulties that forced a hasty and unplanned retreat.

Similar to the Death Valley segment, J-Tree was planned as a 'natural' venue for simple shooting with the landscape around us.
No light-painting, no strobing, minimal Post work (just some basic grading and colour-correction)... just good clean and simple landscape work.
I wanted to honour the natural beauty of the space with some simple compositions and attention to some of the standout plant-species native to the area.

This was my 2nd time through J-Tree and while not as fast as the first trip through (literally a drive in the north and out the south end with no stops) it was still abbreviated. I elected to travel through the central part of the park from Belle slightly north and then West by road-bike to connect on a deeper level with the Park without the distractions of fussing with traffic and parking etc. The routing took me through some interesting zones and while not yielding the most compelling photos, certainly offered an unparalleled opportunity for connection at a reduced pace.

Please enjoy the few frames I was able to sort through, and a few more may be forthcoming yet.

Thank you J-Tree and National Park Service!
What treasures we have here with the NPS!
